Amy Winehouse: A tragic story.

While perusing Youtube yesterday, I came across the (recent) videos of Amy Winehouse’s concert in Belgrade. Her performance there was anything less than stellar, it was a big joke. As she was singing her songs, she appeared to be “inebriated” to say the least. While intoxicated with who knows what, she seemed to mumble and forget many of the words. She seemed to have been drunk and coked out. She was scratching her skin as if she had just mainlined heroin. In all honesty, this is just sad.

The girl needs help and obviously her manager sees her as a cash cow. But in all reality how long can this really last? She’s headed for certain doom. She’s a very talented lady. Most likely she’s going to end up like the greats, Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix. But no one seems to really care. Her one week stint in rehab didn’t do her much good. I wonder who thought it would be a good idea to say “Okay Amy, go out there and sing,” she was in no shape to perform.

I guess in a capitalistic world, money is the true power. It obviously takes precedence over someones well being.

You ever made love to a man ……. you want to?

Lameness of the Americas

So yesterday as I was reading a post from Jen Kirkman on Tumblr, it came to me that DADT doesn’t really make any sense. Yes, gay men and women can serve and protect (openly) in our military but it’s still not “legal” for them to get married (in every state). I feel that this repeal is rather “half-hearted.” (in the sense that serving openly is ok whereas loving openly is not.) History seems to always repeat itself. In the 50’s people of different races were not allowed to co-mingle. Bigotry and hatred continued but not for long. Are we still stuck in the 1950’s where a man and a woman couldn’t even sleep in the same bed on tv. I’d like to think that we’ve come a long way since then. 60 years!!! Next thing you know we’ll have a prohibition act again. But this is not so likely (I hope). I do enjoy and am very grateful for the freedoms that we have in America, I just think that everyone should be treated with equal respect. One day people will treat each other with respect and dignity. It may be a long ways from now but let’s keep our fingers crossed that it will one day happen. To everyone out there have a Happy Christmas and an amazing New Years!!!!!

Untitled Works 2…

Beneath my chest lies nothing. Nothing was as nothing is as nothing will be. But for this I do not lament, for I do not feel pain. We view pain as regression. But pain is a driving force, for without it we can not know happiness. Pain…shapes us. Who we were, are and will be. I look to the future and see only but a vague similance of what ought to be. This, future is unwritten, for we shape our own future. Nothing shall be written in stone. Fate is absurd, there is no fate, no destiny. WE, WE are the writers, the editors, the essence of our own being. No one can ever take this away. So I say this to you, nothing and everything lies beneath my chest, as does yours. Just know one thing I love you.

Untitled Works…

As I sit in this room, I am alone. Thoughts plague me. I want to be strong but some unknown agent ails me. Regression. Is my ailment. I am scared that I will not be strong enough.
